The Michigan City Public Library Literacy Program is excited to announce that there has been a complete update of educational materials that are available to the public for check out. The Learning Center shelves are now full of new reading, writing, math, and GED prep materials.

The materials are being well received by the community. Circulation

numbers have increased for the Learning Center.   The materials are

available for anyone who has a library card.  Students, parents, tutors, and the general public has access to the full range of educational materials. Tutors in the program appreciate the fresh, new, comprehensive, updated materials available for their instructional use.  Program supervisor, Cyndie McKinney reports that she gets daily comments from the public about the quality reading and math materials.

Contributions were made by  the M. C. Community Enrichment Corporation, M. C. Urban Enterprise Association, and the M. C. Wal-Mart to the public access of educational materials for our community.
